Ashtech and Partners Introduce Fly Ash Freight Incentive Scheme

A significant step towards the sustainable and efficient transportation of fly ash/bed ash has been made with the introduction of the Freight Incentive Scheme for the Loading of Fly Ash/Bed Ash. Ashtech India, with the support of other leading cement companies, power plants, and various industry stakeholders, has successfully appealed to the government, resulting in a 40% discount for the transportation of fly ash/bed ash via railways, officially recognized by the Ministry of Railways.

The scheme aims to make the transportation of fly Ash more affordable and eco-friendly by utilizing the railway network. The sustainable use of fly ash in industries such as cement production and construction contribute to the circular economy and helps reduce the environmental impact.

This collaborative effort represents a major step forward in advancing sustainable practices while supporting the goal of reducing transportation costs and improving operational efficiency. By offering this incentive, the initiative is designed to benefit various sectors and contribute to India’s green growth objectives.
